IN an attempt to show the skill that drives Australia’s cattle industry, Beef Central tagged along with Frasers Transport Livestock Central Qld compliance manager Athol Carter as he carefully assembled a b-triple road train and headed out to Gracemere Saleyards to help load some cattle.

Athol has been in the livestock transport industry for 26 years, working in all parts of Queensland.

He shows how to back multiple trailers onto another, talks about his rewarding career as a livestock transporter and his love of heading into remote parts of Western Queensland to be part of large shifts of cattle.

Frasers was today unveiled as number four in Beef Central’s Top 25 Livestock Transporters feature. Other companies who have either featured or are likely to feature in the Top 25 took part in the video – including Gracemere Livestock Transport who came in at number 23 and Martin’s which is yet to feature.
