Roma Saleyards market report – Tuesday, 4 March
Yarding: 6294 Change: -451
Just over 6000 head of cattle went to market at Roma Saleyards this week with several quality lines of heavy feeder steers consigned and on offer under the hammer.
The market remained firm, however softened slightly in some categories reflective of condition.
A decreased yarding on last week’s sale did not detract from the offering with cattle drawn locally and from western regions such as Hughenden, Jericho, Stonehenge, Isisford, Quilpie, Winton, Cunnamulla and Tambo.
Cattle were also penned from as far afield as Innamincka, South Australia and Tilpa, New South Wales.
The broad range of cattle offered once again solidified Roma Saleyards as the market of choice with consistent buyer interest and active bidding on the quality lines available.
