A cold front with a low-pressure system off the south-west coast of Western Australia, brought rain across much of the state including the Pilbara and Gascoyne.

A low pressure trough drew in tropical moisture from the Coral Sea generating widespread showers and thunderstorms over central eastern Queensland, with a number of daily rainfall records for June.

A cold front in the south-east brought rain across South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania before moving over New South Wales, south-west Queensland and southern Northern Territory.

Weekly totals of 25-50 mm were recorded in many areas in the west of Western Australia, south-eastern Australia, north-west New South Wales extending into north-east South Australia and south-west and central-eastern Queensland.

Weekly totals of 50 to 100 mm were recorded in areas of central-eastern Queensland, southern and western Western Australia, southern South Australia and western Tasmania, with small pockets of more than 100 mm in coastal Queensland and northern Tasmania.

Queensland had the highest daily total of 97.2 mm in Melrose in the 24 hours to 9 am 27 June and the highest weekly total of 180.4 mm in Mirani Mary Street.
